Interview with Kinley Poole

Kinley Poole plays on the varsity soccer/football team. He enjoys and likes to play this sport.

"My favorite part of soccer is probably being top in the state and a good team together," Poole saId.

Poole explains why he likes being on the team.

"I also like the bond we have as a team, being able to stay together through adversity," Poole says.

Poole says he has been playing for most of his life, so it explains why it’s so important to him.

"I’ve been playing like all my life, so it’s kind of just stuck with me since I’ve been a kid,” Poole says.

Poole says he plays pretty much every position on the team, this makes him a versatile player.

"I play forward. I can play any of the spots in the front, left, center, or right,” Poole says.

Poole says he has helped his team a lot this year.

"I’m a top scorer on our team right now,” Poole says.

Poole says he needs to drink a lot and says he has gotten injured a couple times.

"I got injured so I was out for like a few games, but that was earlier in the season, and I would try to stay hydrated,” Poole says.

Poole says he gets angered a lot, mainly from referees.

"I get angry all the time. The main thing that angers me is referees. You feel like you’re right, and they are wrong. So, typically, I have a go, try to have a nice conversation, and get them on my side before I get really upset,” Poole says.

Kinley Poole says his best friend on the team is Malic.

“I like hanging out with my teammate Malic because we both play the same position on the field and we work together to get most of our goals together," Poole says.

Overall, Kinley enjoys this sport, which is why it’s so important to him.
