Interview with Trevor Wood

Today I interviewed boys freshmen Soccer Player, Trevor Wood. I learned how the activity system/season is planned and how it works. Trevor really likes being a person on the team.

“I just like the atmosphere, and I like training. Honestly, my favorite part is training,” Mr. Wood shared.

Wood always knew he liked Soccer/Football.

“I just fell in love with the game. I was seven, trying some different sports. I ended up playing soccer, and it was just so much fun,” Mr. Wood said.

What position in the sport did you play?

“I play right back, defense and right wing for my team.”

Wood claims there have been lots of ties, losses, and wins throughout the year.

“We’ve had a lot of ties, unfortunately, ties that probably should’ve been wins, but we have played very well,” Mr. Wood said.

How do you handle heat, weather, and anger?

Wood Claims you have to try to handle heat, humidity, anger, and frustration in this sport.

“It can be pretty brutal. Sometimes you just have to drink a lot of water, and then pour some on yourself too,” Mr. Wood said. He goes on to say “You have to keep it in control to an extent, but you just wanna use your anger to fuel your playing, and turn it into like motivation for playing.”
